Good leaders ask good questions. Here are 5 of my favorite questions
1. The trade-off question:
“If you say yes to this, what will you say no to?”
2. The Am-I-a-micro-manager question?
“What projects do you need me to step in or step out?”
3. The Scaling question:
“On a scale of 1-10, where 1 is _ and 10 is. Where are you?”
4. The opener question:
“What have you tried so far?”
5. The feedback question:
“What was the most/least useful part of this meeting/training?”
A good question is like oxygen for a conversation. It adds life, it gives it meaning. I hope you try one of these today.
